Seeking The Lord

Seeking God.

What if we sought for The Lord the way someone looking for treasure looked for treasure?

What if we had such a confidence that God is literally everywhere, that we search for places where He’s moving.

In every circumstance. In every situation. In the good times and the hard times, God is there. Are we looking for Him?

“Seek and you will find.”

If we seek the Lord, we will find the Lord.

He’s omnipresent. That means He’s everywhere. What if we began looking for Him? Like taking actual time to seek Him? I’m not just talking about prayer times but what if we seek Him in our hardships? What if we seek Him in our failures? We if we seek Him in our spouse? What if we seek Him in the poor?

What if we began looking for Him in every place in life? He’s there. He’s everywhere. He can’t not be there.

His hand is in everything. There’s nothing you can look into where you won’t find Him. If you are looking for Him, you will find Him.

Confirmation bias.

You ever decide you want a specific type of car? And then, all of a sudden you notice every…Toyota Tacoma on the road. You drove past thousands of them and never noticed but the day you decided you wanted one, you suddenly see them everywhere.

The same is true when we decide to seek the Lord. We set that confirmation bias in our head, we will see Him moving and feel His presence everywhere, all the time.

It leads to such a vibrant experience. It’ll make you a more hopeful person.

One of the big things that starts to happen is we begin to connect again with awe, wonder and child likeness. We see the world through a whole new set of eyes. “Unless you become like one of these children you cannot inherit the Kingdom.” The kingdom, The King’s domain is all of existence. Everything you see is under His governance and when you decide to seek The Lord, you’ll see the world in a whole new light.

It’ll make you like a kid again. Everywhere you seek Him, you will find Him.

So Seek the Lord. It’s the way of wonder, joy, peace and perfect provision.

“The young lions may lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek The Lord shall not lack any good thing.” - Psalm 34:10,
